Virgin Atlantic and Kenya Airways Launch Codeshare Deal
Virgin Atlantic and Kenya Airways have unveiled a new codeshare partnership, offering greater connectivity between the UK and East Africa. The first phase allows Virgin Atlantic customers to book Kenya Airways' Heathrow to Nairobi flights, while Kenya Airways passengers can connect onto Virgin's Caribbean services via Heathrow.
Both airlines, part of the SkyTeam alliance, lauded the sustainable benefits of the partnership. Virgin is transforming to all next-generation aircraft by 2027, while Kenya Airways operated Africa's most eco-friendly long-haul flight last year.
The codeshare boosts UK-Kenya accessibility after Kenya introduced online travel authorisation for British visitors instead of requiring full visas.
