Saudi's flynas adds new African routes from January 2025
Budget airline flynas is expanding its African network with new routes to Uganda and Djibouti starting January 2025. The Saudi carrier will operate three weekly flights from Riyadh to Entebbe and from Jeddah to Djibouti beginning 8 January.
The expansion supports Saudi Arabia's National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aims to connect the kingdom to 250 international destinations and handle 330 million passengers. It also aligns with the country's tourism goal of welcoming 150 million visitors annually by 2030.
The airline has recently increased its domestic capacity by 480,000 seats and expanded its fleet with its 53rd A320neo aircraft. At the Farnborough International Airshow, flynas announced plans to double its fleet with an order of 160 additional Airbus planes, including 30 wide-body A330neos.
Since launching in 2007, flynas has grown to serve more than 70 destinations with 1,500 weekly flights, carrying over 80 million passengers. The new African routes form part of the airline's "We Connect the World to the Kingdom" initiative.
