EgyptAir Launches Direct Cairo - Zanzibar Route Twice Weekly
EgyptAir has launched a new direct route between Cairo International Airport and Zanzibar, Tanzania, operating two weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays aboard Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft. The inaugural flight recorded a load factor exceeding 90%, with promotional fares offered across both Business and Economy classes to mark the launch.
The new route forms part of EgyptAir's broader strategy to expand its African network and connect Cairo to key destinations across the continent. EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman Captain Ahmed Adel noted that the expansion is designed to diversify travel options for passengers while strengthening tourism and investment links between Egypt and Africa. The addition of Zanzibar - one of East Africa's most prominent tourist destinations - reinforces the airline's growing presence in the region.
