Air Zimbabwe Launches Masvingo Flights to Support Sanganai Tourism Expo
Air Zimbabwe, in partnership with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry launched scheduled air services between Harare and Masvingo, and between Victoria Falls and Masvingo, ahead of the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo running from 9 to 12 September 2026 in Masvingo. The flights, operating from 5 to 12 September, are designed to provide convenient travel options for exhibitors, buyers, delegates and visitors attending the expo, with the inaugural Harare - Masvingo services operating on 5 September drawing strong passenger numbers. Services are being operated using ATR 42 and Dash 8 aircraft, with Air Zimbabwe working alongside the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, Airports Company of Zimbabwe and National Handling Services to support smooth operations.
The new connections mark a notable improvement in domestic air access to Masvingo, a province with significant tourism, heritage and investment potential. Air Zimbabwe said the initiative forms part of its broader commitment to strengthening domestic connectivity and supporting key national events and destinations. The strong demand on inaugural flights signals an appetite for improved air links to the region beyond the expo period.
