Emirates today announced the launch of a new linked air service to Madagascar, operating via the Seychelles, from 3 September 2024. The four-weekly flights will depart Dubai (DXB) and make a stop in Mahé, Seychelles before continuing to the capital Antananarivo (TNR).

The new route is expected to significantly boost inbound tourism and business travel to Madagascar by providing over 140 global connection opportunities through Emirates' Dubai hub.

"We're confident this new service will have a positive impact on boosting Madagascar's connectivity and tourism," said Adnan Kazim, CCO of Emirates. "Madagascar has been underserved despite growing appetite for its natural attractions and ecotourism experiences."

H.E. Manambahoaka Valéry Ramonjavelo, Madagascar's Minister of Transport, welcomed the new flight, stating it "opens a new door between Madagascar and the world through Dubai's massive international hub."
