Air Senegal Resumes Key Routes, Boosting West African Connectivity
Air Senegal has reinstated several major routes following recent service disruptions, marking a significant step forward in its operational recovery. Routes now fully operational include Paris, Casablanca, Bamako–Ouagadougou, Bamako–Abidjan, and Conakry–Abidjan, all of which are central to regional and international connectivity in West Africa. The airline cited corrective actions taken to resolve earlier issues and has apologised to affected passengers for the delays.
The resumption enhances vital links for trade, tourism, and business travel across the region and beyond. The Paris–Dakar route remains a key corridor for diaspora and commercial travel, while Casablanca offers crucial onward international connections. Within the ECOWAS region, restored intra-African services strengthen movement between key capitals, supporting economic integration. The move underscores both opportunities and challenges for African carriers in improving reliability and regional air access.
