Emirates adds fifth weekly flight to Madagascar-Seychelles route
Emirates has announced the addition of a weekly flight on Fridays to its Dubai-Seychelles-Antananarivo route, increasing capacity to over 1,800 seats per week in each direction. This move aims to meet increasing seasonal demand and enhance flexibility and convenience for passengers.
The airline initially launched its services to Madagascar in September 2023, reintroducing the route following a three-year suspension due to the pandemic. The resumed service has seen strong performance, connecting passengers from Madagascar and Seychelles to Emirates' extensive global network via Dubai.
The route is particularly significant for boosting tourism and trade between the Indian Ocean Island nations and beyond. The flights also support cargo operations, offering capacity for exporting goods such as vanilla, spices, and seafood from Madagascar to international markets.
Emirates’ passengers can benefit from connections to over 140 destinations in the airline’s global network, including key hubs in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
