Zambia: Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, Ila Safari Lodge by Green Safaris reopened its doors

As the pioneers of the Silent Safari in Zambia, extending solar-power to even their e-Cruisers, e-Boats, and e-Mountain bikes, Green Safaris is constantly determined to push the boat (or game vehicle, or bike) out a little further when it comes to using eco-innovations to heighten their luxury guest experience.

Green Safaris has been on a mission to vaccinate all of our teams across Zambia and Malawi. Since each of our properties is hidden in handpicked in wild, isolated locations, this has been a fun challenge.

Meet Green Safaris' two new eco-properties: Shawa Luangwa Camp, which has just opened!, and Chisa Busanga Camp, which will be opening on June 1st.

The Green Safaris Team has been hard at work behind the scenes since they, on the 17th of September, announced the new property Chisa Busanga Camp set to open in June 2020. Here is a preview of one of the stunning spacious Bird’s Nests raised up in the tree tops overlooking the beautiful Busanga Plains in Zambia.

November 2019: Green Safaris, the pioneering and passionately eco-friendly new safari operator, is delighted to announce the opening of its fourth lodge, Shawa Luangwa Camp. Located in the heart of the Lupanda GMA, on the banks of the Luangwa River, it is ideally located to explore both the Park and the Nsefu sector. The Camp opens 1st June 2020. Green Safaris currently operates Ila Safari Lodge in the center of the Kafue National Park and Kaya Mawa, on Likoma Island in Malawi and will expand its portfolio with Chisa Busanga Camp and Shawa Luangwa Camp by mid 2020.

Green Safaris announces the opening of its third lodge, Chisa Busanga Camp (aka “the Nest”),  located in the heart of the magnificent Busanga Plains, in the Northern part of the Kafue National Park in Zambia. The Camp is expected to open 1st  June 2020.  The camp lies on a beautiful island in the heart of the Busanga Plains, overlooking the massive vast floodplains and dambo’sthat  that teem with wildlifewildlife and birds.

Green Safaris would love to invite agents for a Fam-trip to either Ila Safari Lodge in the Kafue National Park, Zambia or Kaya Mawa at Likoma Island in Malawi, or both. With Indaba recently changed to May 2-4, perhaps this could be a good opportunity to visit the Green Safaris properties, pre We Are Africa.

Green Safaris has entered upon a partnership agreement with Chikunto Safari Lodge, located in the heart of South Luangwa National Park in  Zambia. It has long been a desire of Green Safaris to create a circuit between its flagship property, Ila Safari Lodge in the Kafue National Park and Kaya Mawa, located on Likoma Island in Malawi, which they acquired last year.
