Proflight Zambia to Launch New Lusaka–Windhoek Route via Livingstone
Proflight Zambia has announced a new regional air service connecting Lusaka and Windhoek via Livingstone, set to commence on 3 March 2026. The route will operate three times weekly—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—linking Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, and Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. The new connection is expected to offer greater flexibility for both leisure and business travellers, enhancing accessibility to the iconic Victoria Falls and two emerging regional hubs.
The launch aims to stimulate tourism, trade, and investment between Zambia and Namibia, following a 14% rise in passenger flow from Zambia to Windhoek in 2024. Public and private sector stakeholders, including the Namibia Airports Company and Namibia Tourism Board, have supported the route’s development, seeing it as a strategic addition to Southern Africa’s air network. The new service is part of broader efforts to position the region as an integrated and accessible travel destination.
