Location: Flexible (UK or East/Southern Africa – Remote)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (4 or 5 days/week considered)

Join us at Experience Africa Events (EAE) — part of ATTA® — as our new Event Operations Manager and play a key role in the smooth delivery of both our flagship shows and trade show stand builds.
👥 About the Role
As Event Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead on core administrative, financial, and logistical tasks across our portfolio of events — including Experience Africa and Trade Shows like WTM, Indaba and ITB. You’ll work closely with the CEO, Buyer Engagement Manager and Head of Events to ensure that critical back-office processes run like clockwork.
From tech platform setup to accommodation allocations, badge printing to invoicing, you’ll be the person behind the scenes who makes sure everything comes together.
✨ Key Responsibilities

Manage exhibitor registrations, invoicing, and documentation for Real Estate shows

Oversee event logistics, registration desk planning, and collateral delivery

Lead data management and GDPR compliance across all event systems

Support accommodation allocations for buyers and exhibitors

Set up and maintain event tech platforms (EventsAir, QuickBooks, SharePoint)

Coordinate post-event reconciliation and reporting

Maintain operational checklists, dashboards, and timelines
🔍 What We’re Looking For

Experience in event operations, admin, or project support — ideally in the travel or tourism space

Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail

Confident working across multiple platforms and deadlines

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, EventsAir, and/or QuickBooks a plus

A team player who thrives in a small, mission-led environment

Ability to work independently and communicate clearly across time zones

A genuine interest in events, logistics, and fundamentally African tourism
