IHG to bring first Kimpton to Morocco in 2026
IHG Hotels & Resorts and Sirayane Hospitality have signed a franchise agreement to open Morocco’s first Kimpton in Marrakech, a 67-room hotel scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The move expands IHG’s luxury and lifestyle footprint in the market, reflecting Marrakech’s role as a key tourism hub.
Located 7km from Marrakesh–Menara Airport and within a 20-minute drive of Hivernage and the Medina, the hotel will offer views of the Atlas Mountains and access to nearby leisure facilities. Plans include multiple dining venues, a lobby lounge, a rooftop restaurant, a spa and fitness centre, and swimming pools. IHG notes that Marrakech attracts about a quarter of Morocco’s visitors amid ongoing government investment in tourism infrastructure, while Kimpton continues its regional growth following a September debut in Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Financial District.
