DEC1-panel-invite_li_speakers.jpg

As conservation efforts across the continent have seen revenues plummet in line with the halt in global tourism a bold partnership from the Luc Hoffmann Institute and Internet of Elephants is investigating new revenue sources for conservation by monetising wildlife data and creating a market place for it using games and gamification techniques. Join them for a lively panel on June 29th when they will discuss ‘’ can we redesign conservation funding’’ featuring:

  • Alice Ruhweca - Regional Director for WWF. Alice is an expert in sustainable development and capacity building.
  • David Gonahasa - a Ugandan entrepreneur and conservationist. Co-founder of The Naturalist, he is harnessing tech to create new opportunities for gorilla conservation through his initiative Home of the Gorillas.
  • Gautam Shah -  founder of Internet of Elephants. Gautam quit a perfectly good career as an IT consultant to start a tech for wildlife company.
  • Dr Kerstin Oberprieler - CEO of PentaQuest and a leading gamification and design thinking academic and practitioner.

Moderated by Adrian Dellecker, Head of Strategy and Development at the Luc Hoffmann Institute. Questions welcome!
