Vaccination programs are rolling out across Zimbabwe and we are so pleased that the tourism industry far and wide have been given the opportunity to receive their vaccinations against Covid19.

Last week the Ministry of Health set up at Hwange Main camp and Imvelo Safari Lodges sent five Land Cruiser loads of staff from all our camps to receive their first vaccine and many more of the Imvelo team who were in Victoria Falls currently also received their shots last week too! On the day the Imvelo team were at Main camp being vaccinated, there were at least 100 camp staff members from many different camps in and around Hwange National Park, an excellent effort to ensure our people are kept safe and that Hwange is an even safer destination to visit! Imvelo are very proud to have also helped facilitate many of our frontline community members to get up to Hwange Main camp for their vaccines, among them Ngamo Village headman Johnson Ncube and Ngamo school head Mthenjwa Moyo.

Mark Butcher, “Butch” who was also amongst those vaccinated, took this short video highlighting how efficient the set up was. We commend the Ministry of Health for the quick roll out and granting access to free vaccinations in an effort to protect the safety of the Zimbabwean people and build confidence among those coming on an exceptional safari in Hwange National Park.
