Imvelo Safari Lodges offer four special camps in and around Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe. Our lodges and camps are built in nature's most pristine and magnificent settings where we are committed to protecting our environment and natural resources.
At Imvelo, we aren’t just about luxury lodges and there’s more to us than spectacular photographic safaris - we believe in enriching the lives of those who live around us as well as our guests. We are determined to ensure that it’s the local people and wildlife that directly benefit from our visitors.
We offer our guests an honest eco tourism experience. Many of our lodges are built on land that belongs to local village communities. This enables us to develop from the grassroots up and employ from the surrounding areas. We now employ over 100 local people on a permanent or semi-regular basis. We work closely with village leaders, distributing resources to where they are needed most. We encourage them to link benefits from tourism to wildlife conservation.
After a journey of 17+ hours and 700+ kilometers across Zimbabwe, the first two white rhino to roam Hwange in nearly 20 years are now settling into their new home in the Imvelo Ngamo Wildlife Sanctuary bordering the park.

Imvelo were able to bring our full Smile and See Safari back to the communities in Matabeleland this year. A multinational effort of individuals from Spain, Italy, The United Kingdom, The United States, South Africa and Zimbabwe coordinated to carry-out this mission.
2021's first pump run has begun!
“It’s a big job, but a very important one. Thanks to Imvelo and our donor friends' water pumping efforts, many animals in Hwange are looked after and definitely at least 10000 elephant…so it’s all worth it!” says Becki Ncube, who is part of the Imvelo team and is championing our water for wildlife pumping activities and leading the charge on keeping our wildlife hydrated.
Vaccination programs are rolling out across Zimbabwe and we are so pleased that the tourism industry far and wide have been given the opportunity to receive their vaccinations against Covid19.

Complementing a vast network of partners, donors and friends who generously supported us; together, we have been able to have an impact on wildlife protection and community upliftment that can be valued at over $700,000 for 2020 alone.
Imvelo Safari Lodges in association with Quest Africa has launched a new special edition Conservation Course for young adults.
The course will be run from Camelthorn Lodge, one of the largest community based conservation partnerships in Zimbabwe.

Imvelo Safari Lodges are thrilled to announce the launch of daily horseback riding activities for guests enjoying a safari at Bomani Tented Lodge and Camelthorn Lodge in the south of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s premiere national park. This fantastic new activity will kick off on March 1st, 2018 and is the first of its kind in southern Hwange!
