Imvelo's Treetops Dream Safari

Imagine elephants wandering below you while you watch from the comfort of a treehouse bedroom above! This is Imvelo Safari Lodges’ latest dream safari concept. In a unique partnership with Imvelo, Nelson Tree Houses “The Tree House Masters” were recently on site in Hwange, working to turn the concept into reality.
Two experts from the Washington State, USA, based Nelson Tree Houses flew to Hwange to join Imvelo directors at a special woodland site at Mandiseka in the park. The architect designers from Nelsons will ensure the structures are built to the highest standards as well as the highest possible ethics of tree friendliness.
Tum Tum Treehouses Lodge will be opening late season 2025, as a six room, 12 bed lodge in south-eastern Hwange. Situated in teak and camelthorn woodland, the lodge will consist of four tree top tents on wooden platforms with wood and canvas sides, canvas top and en-suite bathrooms.
From the outset, every care will be taken to ensure that the treehouses are built around the trees in an ecofriendly manner, while affording guests the opportunity to watch wildlife walking below them as they relax on their deck. There will also be two ground-level rooms which can be used as a family tent, making the lodge ideal for combinations of couples, families and honeymooners.
The wildlife experiences at Tum Tum will align with what we offer at Camelthorn Lodge and Bomani Tented Lodge, providing guests with opportunities to take game drives, bush walks, the rhino experience in nearby Mlevu Sanctuary, and visits to the community which are an integral part of the Imvelo experience.
