Today is World Environment Day: Kenya Bans all single use plastic in National Parks, Beaches and conservation areas
By Benjamin Morison, Far and Wild TravelToday, Friday 5 June 2020 is World Environment day.
In Kenya, nearly 3 years after their monumental ban on plastic bags, the country is implementing another world leading piece of environment policy; a complete ban on the use of ALL single-use plastics in national parks, forests, beaches, and conservation areas.
The ban prohibits visitors from carrying plastic water bottles, disposable plates and cups, cutlery, and straws into protected areas, with the aim of curbing the growing plastic pollution. For more info see this short 1 minute film... or contact info@theflipflopi.com for more information.
