B2B Travel Tradeshow, Experience Africa 2020 Intends to carry on as usual amid COVID-19 uncertainty

Experience Africa aims to take place as planned from Monday 22nd to 24th June 2020 at CCT Venues Plus, Canary Wharf, London

As major global events and forthcoming travel meeting trade shows reassess their calendars, the following statement has been issued in line with considered precautions and the latest global developments surrounding the coronavirus situation:

Byron Shirto, Event Director, says: “We are all doing our best to keep a rational head whilst remaining resilient in all our mutual business activities. We intend for Experience Africa 2020 to go ahead and we will follow up with our travel industry partners and friends if our show plans change. We are continually monitoring the current global situation regarding COVID-19 virus and follow official advice from the UK government and the World Health Organisation. We understand that many of our exhibitors and buyers will be adhering to various protocols, restrictions and guidelines based upon their individual countries. It is paramount to our team that all show delegates feel safe, supported and are fully informed of best practice at this unprecedented time. Our stance right now is a cautiously optimistic one; let’s take care of one another sensibly and carry on with business as usual.”

Nigel Vere Nicoll, Atta President, comments: “The travel industry is notoriously resilient, and it is important that we work together with our members and partners to meet the challenges that may arise as this situation evolves. We are indeed in uncharted waters but, as always, the safety and security of our community who promote tourism to Africa is our prime consideration, and we will be giving our full support to the Experience Africa team as they work to deliver an outstanding show.”
