Wildlife Education at El Karama Lodge, Laikipia: Tracks and Signs Course May 24/25/26 2019 with Professional Guide Andreas Fox

El Karama Lodge, Laikipia's family-focussed eco lodge is hosting their 2019 Tracks and Signs Short Course on May 24th to 26th 2019.  The lodge has been offering a unique events and short course calendar for the past 3 years including enigmatic speakers such as Adventurer Charley Boorman, Environmental Activist and Author George Monbiot, Explorer Col John Blashford-Snell and Paleoanthropologist Don Johanson.  Short Courses have included Tracking, Walking with Dangrous Game, Botany, Entomology, Geology, Open Air Cooking and Astronomy.

This Tracks and Signs course is aimed at interested guests and guides in training, who wish to learn more about the narratives of the bush. Exploring on foot and in vehicles, guests will be learning the science of tracking, how to read and identify signs in nature, animal behaviour, walking safely in areas with dangerous game and much more.    

Led by Andreas Fox, an experienced Professional Guide working with The Original Ker and Downey Safaris and Andreas Fox Safaris, participants will have group sessions and opportunities for one to one question time; field work will be combined with tutorial sessions in camp.  Set against the backdrop of this 14,000 acre working wildlife environment, guests will also be able to enjoy this beautiful lodge and wildlife area, eating farm to fork food straight from the organic garden and farm dairy on site whilst taking quick dips in Kenya's first chlorine/salt free eco swimming pool!
