Morukuru Family quite simply holds one promise: A place where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. No schedules, no routine, no pressure. A space for families and friends to really just ‘be’; to reconnect and rediscover what it is that binds them, in some of Africa’s most revered wildlife sanctuaries.

Because family time is the most precious time there is, we happily welcome families with children of all ages at all our properties. Children of all ages can also join on game drives. Safari lovers (couples, groups of friends, families) will enjoy our three exclusive-use safari houses in a private concession inside the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve.

In Sandton, Johannesburg, just a short walk from Nelson Mandela Square, we offer the 9-bedroom AtholPlace House and the 4-bedroom AtholPlace Villa, both peaceful exclusive-use retreats from which to explore a fascinating city.

In the De Hoop Nature Reserve we offer our 4-bedroom exclusive-use Morukuru Ocean House – ideal for larger families and groups of friends – as well as the 5-suite Morukuru Beach Lodge. This award-winning lodge is ideal for couples and smaller families. Both options offer some of the best land-based whale watching on the continent, as well as many other outdoor activities.

The exclusive-use houses in Madikwe Game Reserve and De Hoop Nature Reserve are fully staffed and inclusive of all activities (private), all meals, all drinks, as well as a private vehicle. At Morukuru Beach Lodge activities are shared with the other guests.
