On Saturday October 12, 2019, the Grand Hotel Djibloho celebrated its first edition of the Night Marathon, an event in which more than 30 runners participated in the category of men and women from 6 different nationalities, a race in which the winners were awarded first three winners of the women and men side.

After nine days of youth retreat in a recreational environment, all the young participants from different cultures and nationalities received this Saturday 20th July from the Management of the emblematic national hospitality complex Grand Hotel Djibloho, certificates of recognition for their good attitude and enthousiasm during the sport and leisure activities organized by the hotel and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Equatorial Guinea.

The hospitality company Luxury Hotels Management celebrated this Monday the 10th of June 2019 its 4 years at the front of the Management of Grand Hotel Djibloho, a hospitality pearl situated at the heart of Ecuatorial Guinea. Grand Hotel Djibloho’s management, Luxury Hotel Management led by Mr. Vincenzo Presti as General Manager thanks the Government of Equatorial Guinea for the trust bestowed upon it. Luxury Hotels Management also affirms its desire to continue working every day better in order to reach more success for the Grand Hotel Djibloho and also for Equatorial Guinea as a luxury tourist destination.

In order to magnify the end of the studies and the end of the training period of the students from the hospitality school INFH Mongomo, the Grand Hotel Djibloho organized for its first time a culinary competition “Master Chef Junior” the 08th June 2019 in the African restaurant LOM. In order to inculcate in them the values of responsibility, competition and team spirit that the professional culinary art entails, the restaurant has been managed mainly by the young students (kitchen and service).

The Grand Hotel Djibloho received on Monday the 13th of May 2019 the privileged visit of the President of the African Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adesina accompanied by H.E Mr. Cesar Agusto Mba Abogo, Minister of Finance of Equatorial Guinea. Both distinguished guests and their delegation were offered a guided tour around the Hotel’s infrastructure led by the Hotel’s General Manager Mr. Vincenzo Presti. After visiting the Grand Hotel Djibloho, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina stated “I am honestly impressed. I travel a lot around the world, yet I have never seen a place like this before.”

On Sunday the 12th of May 2019, the Grand Hotel Djibloho organized an International 18 Holes Mini Tournament, bringing together participants from various countries such as Kenya, Equatorial Guinea, South Korea and Spain. This tournament marked the official opening of Grand Hotel Djibloho GOLF CLUB. Giving the guests free access to the Golf Course and has been created with the purpose of assembling every  golf player interested in having the best experience at enjoying the marvelous 18 HOLES course.

In order to celebrate the International Labour Day in Equatorial Guinea, the Grand Hotel Djibloho organized a mini marathon on Wednesday 1st of May 2019, entitled "GHD SPRINT MARATHON 5K 2nd Edition". The race brought together 82 runners (amateurs and professionals) from nearly 20 nationalities. The prizes were awarded to the winners at the outdoor pool.

To always offer the best service to their guests, Grand hotel Djibloho has signed a collaboration agreement for the management of the golf course with Dalmau, an expert company in the maintenance and construction of green areas and Luxury Hotel Management (a company that manages the Grand Hotel Djibloho). From the first of March 2019, for all hotel guests, a golf teacher will be available on a complimentary basis and will give you a class every day to all beginners and will take care of the management of the camp. The courses, as well as all hotel guests, will be extended (always free) to children of schools to try to foment sport in Equatorial Guinea.

Last Friday 25th of January 2019, was one day important for sport in Equatorial Guinea, because for the first time, it's arrived in the country a stage of the prestigious cycling race "THE TROPICAL AMISSA BONGO 2019". It was the fifth stage of the cycle race in stages organized by our neighbouring country, Gabon. The cyclists arrived in Equatorial Guinea across the Ebebiyin border and finished the race in Mongomo, with an urban circuit of 10km.

After playing to Ebebeyin (Equatorial Guinea) the Caf Champions League match against the Vegetarian Lions, the Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. leave the Grand Hotel Djibloho to return to South Africa. To thank for the hospitality and the excellent service received from Grand Hotel Djibloho, coach Mr Pitso Mosimane gives the club shirt to the General Manager of the hotel Mr. Vincenzo Presti with the promise to return soon to the Grand Hotel Djibloho.

On the occasion of the football match between the LEONES VEGETARIANOS (Ebebiyin, Equatorial Guinea) and the MAMELODI SUNDOWNS (Johannesburg, South Africa) valid for the 23rd edition of the TOTAL CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE that will take place at Ebebiyin Wednesday 28 November at 16.00, GRAND HOTEL DJIBLOHO hosted the withdrawal of the South African team.

On Saturday 17th of November Grand Hotel Djibloho organized a COACHING session for its managerial framework imparted from the young Equatoguinean coach Jesus Esono. The theme of the session was  "LEADERSHIP" and the concept of coaching.

With the occasion for celebrating 50 years of independence of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, GRAND HOTEL DJIBLOHO sponsored a unique event: crossing the island of Bioko in kayay, carried out by the Italian kayak recordman Francesco Gambella on the 10th of October 2018.

From 24th of August to 2nd of September GRAND HOTEL DJIBLOHO hosted the fourth edition of AFRICA HUNA, a youth association directed by Mrs. SESE SHEDRAZ SITE which aims to motivate and train the young people of Equatorial Guinea as they can develop their personal and professional projects and they learn to work as a team so they can collaborate in the future construction of Equatorial Guinea, as well as to realize their dreams.

The past weekend, on 9 and 10/08/2018, it was held here at the Grand Hotel Djibloho, Djibloho province the 22nd session of the National Aeronautical Activity Management Committee of Equatorial Guinea of ASECNA (agency for the safety of air navigation in Africa and Madagascar).
