Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will expand its South Africa – Malawi operations with additional flights between Johannesburg and Lilongwe from 16 December 2023.

26 April 2023, Johannesburg – Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier, independent and privately owned regional airline, will launch flights between Mbombela (Nelspruit) and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from 28 November 2023.

Airlink advises that it has reached agreement with South African Airways in business rescue (for the re-accommodation of SAA tickets issued after 6 December 2019 for travel on Airlink flights. In terms of the agreement, Airlink will re issue and re accommodate SAA (083) tickets issued on Airlink SA8 flights on Airlink (749) tickets for travel on future Airlink 4Z flights.

South Africa: Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, is adding more frequencies to its direct Durban-Harare service to provide a daily return flight from 07 August 2024.

Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline today launched its direct scheduled air service between Durban and Harare. The first flight departed Durban’s King Shaka International Airport at 10.30 and arrived at Harare’s Robert Mugabe International Airbus at 12.40.

Airlink, the privately-owned airline, has officially changed its company name from “SA Airlink” to “Airlink”, as part of its strategy to distinguish itself as a totally independent airline.

Airlink’s direct services between Cape Town and Victoria Falls as well as Johannesburg and Walvis Bay now offer an intra-continental (as in intra Europe) style business class service.        International premium travelers arriving in Cape Town and travelling onwards to Victoria Falls, on Airlink, will now be able to enjoy the additional benefits afforded by continuing their journey in a premium cabin. This is especially relevant in regard to additional baggage allowance as well as lounge access in Cape Town.

Effective 6 May 2018, Airlink will launch direct flights between Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth. The new service will be served by one of Airlink’s recently acquired 74 seat Embraer E170 aircraft.

Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will re-introduce scheduled direct services between Durban and Mbombela Kruger Mpumulanga International (KMIA) from 04 April 2022.

South Africa/Botswana: Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, is expanding its network to include direct Cape Town-Gaborone flights from 01 April 2025.

Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will increase return flights between Johannesburg and Vilanculos, Mozambique, to 11 a week from 08 January 2024.

Airlink, Africa’s largest privately-owned airline, will operate under its own “4Z” flight code on services operated with effect from 11 June 2020. This decision represents an important milestone in extending the commercial reach of the airline in its own right.

Johannesburg – Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will reinstate direct flights between Durban and Bloemforntein from 26 February 2024.

23 March 2023, Johannesburg – Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, is spreading its wings with a new daily Johannesburg-Nairobi service, which will see it become the first private sector airline to offer flights on the route from 24 April 2023.

Eswatini Airlink was established in 1999 to provide air services for the Kingdom after Royal Swazi National Airways stopped operating. This was facilitated through an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini and Airlink South Africa.
