Airlink Expands Network with New Cape Town-Gaborone Route and Additional Flights Between SA, Nairobi and Kenya

Airlink has announced the launch of a direct service between Cape Town and Gaborone, commencing 1 April 2025. The new route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using a 44-seat Embraer E140 Regional Jet. According to Airlink CEO Rodger Foster, the service is designed to meet growing demand from both business and leisure travellers while offering seamless connections through Cape Town to international destinations.

In addition, Airlink is increasing its Johannesburg-Nairobi service with three weekly overnight return flights from 30 March 2025. The airline will also enhance frequency on its Johannesburg-Lusaka route, raising weekly return flights from 13 to 21, including new morning and afternoon options. These expansions aim to provide travellers with greater flexibility and enhanced connectivity across the region.
