Fastjet has launched its new Harare–Lusaka service, offering direct air links between the capitals of Zimbabwe and Zambia in a move aimed at strengthening regional travel in Southern Africa. The inaugural flight took place on Wednesday, with the airline now operating three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using a 50-seat Embraer E145 aircraft. The addition marks a strategic expansion for the privately owned airline, enhancing travel options for both business and leisure passengers.

With Zambia now the third country in Fastjet’s regional network, the airline continues to grow beyond its Zimbabwean base, which includes routes from Harare to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. Fastjet also operates flights to Johannesburg and connects Victoria Falls with South Africa’s Kruger National Park. The Harare–Lusaka connection is expected to improve accessibility and reduce travel times in the region, supporting tourism and business ties across Southern Africa.
