Wonderful People and Culture
The three main tribes of Rwanda are the Hutu, the Tutsi and the Twa or Batwa, forest dwellers. The language spoken by all the people is Kinyarwanda and they share the same cultural heritage.
Like most African countries, music and dance play an important part of life in Rwanda. Themes are often those of bravery, excellence and agriculture but can also include humorous dance styles and lyrics. Traditional songs are usually performed with a lulunga, a type of harp with eight strings. Dances are backed by a drum orchestra.
The warmth and welcoming people, vibrant culture and passion for conservation add to the charm of Rwanda's natural wonders and wildlife.
