What clothing should you wear on safari?

Do you need to wear neutral colours on safari? Cotton or manmade? The clothing you pack makes a very big difference to the success of your safari. When asked by our clients what clothing to pack for their safari, there are certain fundamental laws of packing which stand to enhance their experiences. Clothing in neutral or natural colours such as shades of khaki, green, or brown are recommended – and white, black, and camouflage clothing is a no-no. This is especially the case on walking and active safaris.

Choose clothing made from technical rather than natural fibres. It is advisable to layer up and remove layers as conditions change. Many are sceptical when we say a warm layer is essential and regret it shivering on the back of game-viewers. Zip-off trousers are very functional in this regard.
