Uber launches safari experience in Cape Town
Uber has introduced a new limited-edition travel product in Cape Town, South Africa, called "Uber Safari". Available until January 2025, this service offers riders the chance to book a day trip to see the Big Five at the Aquila Private Game Reserve.
The $200 experience includes pickup in Cape Town in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle, a welcome toast and lunch at Aquila, and a guided game drive. The service, which can accommodate up to four guests, will run on Fridays and Saturdays and can be booked 90 days to 24 hours in advance through the Uber app.
Johan van Schalkwyk, Commercial Officer of Aquila Collection, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the combination of modern convenience and natural beauty while supporting wildlife conservation efforts.
Aquila Private Game Reserve has a strong commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism. A portion of each booking contributes to efforts to protect endangered species and preserve South Africa's biodiversity.
Uber Safari is part of the company's 'Go Anywhere' series of travel products, aiming to provide effortless access to iconic African experiences at the tap of a button.
