Tourism to take centre stage at Pan African AI Summit 2026
The Pan African AI & Innovation Summit will prioritise tourism and hospitality when it convenes in Accra on 22–23 September 2026 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City. Organisers position AI as a driver of Africa’s estimated $100 billion experience economy and say around 60% of travellers now trust AI to plan and book trips – a shift they aim to harness by aligning innovation with the needs of ministries, hotel groups and tour operators.
Advisory member Kwakye Donkor said tourism is Africa’s advantage – and AI the equaliser – as the summit calls for data‑sharing, predictive traveller analytics and pilots for AI‑managed green hotels, with more than 2,000 delegates expected.
