TAWA Registers 125 Tourists at Kilwa Ruins
According to TAWA, the recent visits of tourists to the various attraction sites in the country is due to President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s initiative-‘The Royal Tour’ that aims at promoting the tourism sector as well as increasing the country’s GDP through tourism.
Information released on Tuesday by TAWA stated that the first 102 batch of tourists arrived on the 3rd of February 2024.
In quick analysis, the authority noted that the tourists were mainly from England, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Russia, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, and the United States.
The tourists were carried by the Le Champlain ship of the Hebridean Sky Company from France bringing them to the oldest reserve in the world for tourism activities.
