Singita is excited to announce two promotions in the Guiding team at Singita Kruger National Park (SKNP).

Singita’s guiding team is focussed on consistency, offering guests the exceptional safari experiences that they have come to expect from the brand over the last 30 years. After eight years as Head Guide, Chantelle Venter, has transitioned into a new role as Senior Guide/Mentor. Chantelle's unwavering dedication and remarkable expertise in Guide and Tracker training has been instrumental in the team's growth and success, and she will now be dedicated to training, mentorship, and assessments.

Chantelle has already mentored other trackers who’ve become guides – and is adept at recognising skills and immense potential. A Singita Guide Mentorship Programme was established in 2018 to provide additional support to learner guides.

Therefore, Solomon Ndlovu has been promoted to Head Guide at SKNP leading the teams at Singita Lebombo and Sweni Lodges. Solomon exhibited exceptional leadership and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences while he was Assistant Head Guide. In 2022, Solomon was also a finalist in the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa’s (FGASA) Field Guide of Year.

Solomon was born at Othawa, near Singita Ebony and Boulders Lodge. Growing up near the game reserves predisposed him to guiding, a goal he reached only after hard work and dedication. He started as a tracker in 2007 and joined Singita Sabi Sand as a trainee tracker in 2010. He attained his guiding qualification in 2014 and has worked at Singita for 13 years. He describes himself as an activator who enjoys starting and finishing something; and a communicator who enjoys engaging others in a conversation.
