Seychelles on track to beat 2019 arrivals as year‑to‑date visitors rise 12%
Seychelles is on course to surpass its 2019 peak of 384,204 arrivals after exceeding its 2025 visitor and revenue targets. By week 42 ending 20 October, the country recorded 308,854 visitors – up 12% on the same period in 2024 – with 9,190 in week 42 among the year’s highest weekly counts. Year‑to‑date arrivals already exceed full‑year totals for 2023 and 2022, signalling continued recovery with less than ten weeks of 2025 remaining.
Germany remains the top source market with 41,726 visitors, followed by France with 33,589 and Russia with 27,619, with Italy, the UK, UAE, Israel, Switzerland, the US and Poland also contributing strongly. Tourism revenue reached USD 803 million between January and September, according to the Central Bank of Seychelles. Officials credit improving air connectivity – the strongest since 2020 with returning airlines and new routes – for boosting capacity from Europe and widening links via the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
