Serian’s Nkorombo Holds Current Rates Through 2028

Alex Walker’s Serian is putting renewed focus on Nkorombo, its five room bush camp on a bend of the Mara River in the Greater Mara, while holding current rates through to the end of 2028, giving the trade and guests a rare opportunity to plan ahead with price certainty.

Nkorombo is deliberately uncomplicated. Five canvas rooms, a river, genuine hosting and exceptional private guiding. Every booking has its own vehicle, guide and spotter, allowing guests to shape the day around what the bush reveals rather than a fixed itinerary.

The philosophy is simple. Follow the bush, not the clock.

Pre dawn departures can become long days in the wilderness. Fresh tracks in the dust, alarm calls, birds lifting from the grass or the trail of a leopard can all change the course of the morning. There is no need to turn back when the story is still unfolding.

Sleeping under canvas, deep sofas, an organic approach to food and the Mara River running past camp create a traditional bush camp experience with no resort style infrastructure or Wi Fi. The emphasis is firmly on the landscape.

The river gives Nkorombo its character and makes it an intimate base from which to experience the Greater Mara throughout the year. As the seasons change, so do the landscapes, wildlife movements and opportunities, with the guiding team responding to what is happening on the ground.

Nkorombo combines particularly well with the Mara North Conservancies, where guests can walk and drive off road within an exclusive wilderness environment. Together, the two offer a varied Mara experience, combining the intimacy of a riverside bush camp with the wider exploration possible in the conservancies.

For Serian, Nkorombo is about keeping safari simple: exceptional guiding, private exploration, a strong sense of place and the freedom to see where the day leads.

Five rooms. One river. Your own guide and vehicle. And a very big day ahead.
