Pristine Wildlife and Nature

Egypt is home to approximately 28 protected ecosystems that span from coral reefs and Nile River islands to wetlands, oases, deserts and the mountain ranges of the Sinai Peninsula. These areas host a wide variety of animal, plant, aquatic and bird life. Over 100 mammal species can be found in Egypt, some less common like the Sand Cat, The Fennec (the world’s smallest fox) and the Nubian Ibex. Marine mammals include manatees, dolphins, whales, dugongs, and seals. There are 270 bird species including pelicans, herons and crested larks.
