New and upgraded tents as of July 2023 at Cottar's 1920s Camp

We are proud to launch four new tents at Cottar's 1920s Camp in the Maasai Mara, comprising 2 replacements of our double luxury tents (Ndovu and Kudu), 1 additional new luxury double tent (Athi), and 1 new honeymoon tent (Malo). The tents are available from 1 July 2023 and can be booked on a first request first served basis. Please ensure you request directly to our reservations team ([email protected]) and reference one of the new/replacement luxury double tents (named Ndovu, Athi and Kudu) or the new honeymoon tent (named Molo) and our team will service the request subject to availability. Athi and Ndovu tents additionally come with a daybed for enhanced flexibility and can be converted into an extra double or a single set up, and Kudu will have a smaller daybed for a child.

The new tents are approximately 40% larger than our older luxury double tents. The interiors include bathrooms with wallpaper (yes wallpaper in a tent); wooden flooring throughout, bespoke furniture, which has a nod to the 1920’s era, yet is modern and accessible. The tents also have space for a lovely seating/living area which includes a dining table and chairs, a writing desk and a daybed or couch and marvelous high views from the hill, looking out onto the savannah.
