Mpumalanga Parks Agency Opens Bidding for Five Tourism Concessions
The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has invited bids for five concession opportunities across selected nature reserves, with the aim of attracting private investment and advancing transformation within the province's tourism sector. The concessions span a range of development and operational mandates, including the upgrade and management of Zithabiseni Holiday Resort, a 15-year bush camp concession at Songimvelo Nature Reserve, and three lodge developments at Manyeleti Nature Reserve and Dixie Koppie, each offering 24-bed capacity.
Interested parties have until 11h00 on 6 May to submit bids for all opportunities, with the exception of the Dixie Koppie Lodge concession, which carries a closing date of 18 May at 11h00. The concessions present a range of entry points for investors, from developing new lodge facilities to upgrading and operating existing infrastructure across Mpumalanga's established reserve network.
