Morocco posts 224% rise in Indian arrivals since 2019
Morocco welcomed 53,697 visitors from India in 2025, up 31% year on year and 224% higher than 2019, according to the Moroccan National Tourism Office. The country recorded 19.8 million international arrivals overall in 2025 – a 14% increase on the previous year.
MNTO attributes the Indian growth to improved air connectivity, rising demand for luxury and experiential travel, and a growing cohort of affluent younger travellers from both metro and non-metro cities. At OTM 2026 the agency outlined plans for sustained engagement with the Indian travel trade across leisure, MICE, destination weddings and film tourism, backed by a sales footprint in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with targeted activity in Pune, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Jaipur.
