Zimbabwe's Three-City World Cup Programme Offers Tourism and Trade Opportunity

Zimbabwe will host five group-stage matches at the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, with fixtures spread across Bulawayo, Harare and Victoria Falls between 9 and 24 October 2027. The schedule features matches against Afghanistan, Australia, Pakistan and India, giving the country a platform to promote tourism, hospitality and commercial activity alongside its cricket programme. Zimbabwe is co-hosting the tournament with South Africa and Namibia, marking the return of the Men's Cricket World Cup to Africa for the first time since the 2003 edition.

The standout fixture from a tourism perspective is Zimbabwe's final group match against India on 24 October at the Mosi oa Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls - the venue's first-ever Cricket World Cup match. The geographic spread of the programme is commercially significant, with Bulawayo opening the campaign, Harare hosting the high-profile encounters with Australia and Pakistan, and Victoria Falls providing the tournament finale. For hotels, tour operators, transport providers and experience businesses, the three-city format creates scope to develop World Cup related packages and tap into demand from travelling supporters, international media, sponsors and corporate visitors across multiple regional markets.
