Antananarivo, 21 October 2025: The Madagascar National Tourist Board (ONTM) and Jenman African Safaris’ local teams and travel partners confirm that calm and stability have been restored across Madagascar. Tourist regions, heritage sites, national parks, and coastal destinations are open, with daily life in Antananarivo and regional centres operating normally.

There have been no public demonstrations reported since last week, and security forces remain mobilised to ensure visitor safety. Throughout October, all Jenman tours and partner lodges continued without disruption, allowing travellers to experience Madagascar’s landscapes, biodiversity, and culture safely and confidently.

Operational Update from Jenman African Safaris

Over the past month, while political developments unfolded, Jenman’s on-ground operations and partner lodges across Madagascar have run without interruption. All itineraries proceeded as scheduled, and guest feedback confirmed that tourist sites remain unaffected.

In Antananarivo, hotels, restaurants, and excursion providers continued to operate normally, with day-to-day life calm and business as usual. Forward bookings remain steady, and international interest in Madagascar continues to grow.

Travel and Flight Operations

International air connectivity has normalised, with multiple carriers operating regular services to Antananarivo (TNR):

  • Air France resumed its full schedule from 18 October (CDG ↔ TNR).
  • Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Airlink, Air Austral, and Air Mauritius continue scheduled services.
  • Emirates is set to resume flights from 23 October, providing additional connectivity options for international travellers.
  • Madagascar Airlines has resumed night flights, further signalling the country’s operational stability.

(Note: Flight schedules remain subject to change by carriers.)

Looking Ahead

Madagascar continues to offer the rare experiences that define it as one of Africa’s most unique destinations. Jenman African Safaris and its partners remain fully operational and ready to assist travellers, travel agents and operators with itinerary planning, updates, and on-ground support.

Madagascar’s tourism sector remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and exceptional experiences for all visitors.
