Liberia to Host Inaugural Africa Surf Tour

Liberia is making history by hosting Africa's first-ever Surf Tour event "Surf to Rise" from 23-28 May in Robertsport. The coastal town is famous for its three main points for surfing. The five-day competition will welcome over 100 participants. President Joseph Boakai hails the event as a significant milestone for Liberia's tourism sector, aligning with his ARREST Agenda to harness natural assets for sustainable development.
Organised by the Liberia Surfing Association, Unchain Africa, and Providence Preservation Foundation, the event aims to showcase Liberia's rich cultural heritage and untapped tourism potential on the international stage.
Boakai invites all Liberians to support and celebrate this landmark event, which promises to create jobs, stimulate local economy, and position Liberia as a beacon of adventure tourism in West Africa. With strategic partnerships, the administration hopes to realise the full potential of Liberia's burgeoning tourism industry.
