KLM Increases Amsterdam–Cape Town Flights for 2025/26 Season
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will boost its Amsterdam–Cape Town service from 10 to 11 flights per week for the 2025/26 Northern Hemisphere winter season, starting 26 October 2025. The expanded schedule includes both morning and evening departures from Amsterdam and improved return options, offering increased flexibility during South Africa’s peak tourism period. From 9 January 2026, selected evening flights will be operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, enhancing passenger comfort and adding capacity with a more fuel-efficient aircraft.
The service will be operated using a mix of Boeing 777-200ER, 777-300ER, and Dreamliner aircraft, reinforcing Cape Town’s role as a key intercontinental destination. The increase in frequency, coupled with the introduction of the Dreamliner on evening rotations, reflects strong demand for southern African routes and strengthens connectivity for both leisure and business travel. With added capacity and improved in-flight offerings, the upgrade is expected to support tourism growth and attract new interest from European tour operators and business travellers alike.
