Kenya and African Tourism Boards Partner to Host Major Investment Forum at MKTE 2025
The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and the African Tourism Board (ATB) have announced a strategic collaboration to co-host the African Tourism and Investment Forum (ATIF) in Nairobi from 1–3 October 2025. Taking place alongside the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) at the Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum, the event is set to attract over 6,500 delegates from 40 countries, including 400 exhibitors and 200 international buyers. The partnership aims to promote tourism growth, stimulate investment, and foster strategic partnerships across the continent.
Under the agreement, both boards will jointly lead programme coordination, investor engagement, and promotional efforts for ATIF 2025. The forum comes as Kenya’s tourism sector continues to grow, with a projected contribution of KES 1.2 trillion (US$9.2 billion) to the national economy this year, supporting 1.7 million jobs. ATB Chairman Cuthbert Ncube and KTB CEO June Chepkemei have affirmed their commitment to delivering a high-impact platform to unlock Africa’s tourism and investment potential.
