Join us at Experience Africa Events (EAE) — part of ATTA® — as our new Buyer Engagement Manager and play a key role in curating the industry’s most respected hosted buyer programmes.
👥 About the Role
As Buyer Engagement Manager, you will take ownership of the full buyer lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to relationship management — across all owned events including Experience Africa. Working closely with the CEO, Head of Events and Operations Manager, you’ll ensure high-quality, mutually beneficial meetings between our exhibitors and top-tier trade buyers from across the globe.
You’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure the right buyers attend the right shows — and that their experience exceeds expectations from application to event delivery.
✨ Key Responsibilities

Recruit high-quality, trade-ready buyers aligned to our event and exhibitor strategy

Manage buyer applications, onboarding, and tech platform engagement

Build and maintain a well-segmented, compliant buyer database

Collaborate on diary set-up, preference capture, and troubleshooting

Foster long-term relationships with key buyers, trade bodies and sponsors

Represent EAE / ATTA Events at trade shows, networking events, and industry gatherings

Monitor KPIs and report on buyer satisfaction and meeting ROI
🔍 What We’re Looking For

Experience in hosted buyer programmes, B2B events or travel trade

Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong grasp of CRM and meeting scheduling platforms

A collaborative team player with strategic awareness and attention to detail

Understanding of data privacy, diversity, and international market dynamics

A passion for Africa and the tourism sector is highly desirable
