Houw Hoek launches 30-minute dual zipline in Overberg

A new zipline experience has launched at Houw Hoek Hotel on the N2 in the Overberg, Western Cape. Developed by Cape Canopy Tour in partnership with the hotel, the continuous dual-line ride takes around 30 minutes and operates on a free-sale basis with no advance booking required. Positioned on routes between Cape Town, Hermanus and the Garden Route, it is designed to slot into existing itineraries, enabling operators to add a revenue-generating stop without reworking schedules.

Two guests ride side by side after a short walk across a suspension bridge to the launch point, with trained staff managing harnessing, attachment, launch and landing in line with safety protocols. “This is not a destination product that requires travellers to build their day around it – it is the kind of stop that makes a journey more memorable without complicating it,” said Ryan Larkman, MD of Cape Canopy Tour. The experience suits families, couples, FIT travellers and small groups, while non-riders can make use of the hotel’s restaurant and refreshment facilities.
