GTDC reports early traction for new digital tourism platforms
Ghana Tourism Development Company has reported encouraging early results from its newly launched digital tools – the Ghana Tourism Investment Platform (GTiP) and the Ghana Tourism Marketplace (GTM) – aimed at directing investment, boosting visitor spending and supporting long‑term sector growth.
Between 1 and 26 December 2025, GTM processed 76 bookings for curated tours and events, generating GHS 25,662.24 in revenue and GHS 102.24 in commissions; the AccraByNight tour delivered GHS 23,940, or 93 per cent of takings, with events adding GHS 1,620. GTiP is profiling nationwide opportunities led by eco‑tourism at 33 per cent of listings, and mapping infrastructure that shows electricity, internet and road access at all profiled sites but no treated‑water availability – a gap flagged for urgent attention.
