Goldstar Air Launches Agrotourism Initiative to Boost Ghana's Rural Economy

Goldstar Air has unveiled an ambitious agrotourism strategy aimed at positioning Ghana as a leading destination for immersive agricultural experiences. The airline plans to integrate tourism and farming by offering specialised travel packages combining farm visits, culinary tours, and educational programmes across key agricultural regions including Ashanti, Volta, Eastern, and Northern Ghana. Through its expansive network and cargo capabilities, the airline will also support exports of organic produce and value-added products, promoting Ghana's farming identity globally.

The initiative forms part of Goldstar Air’s broader plan to stimulate rural development, create jobs, and drive sustainable tourism growth. In collaboration with government agencies and local stakeholders, the airline will establish certified agrotourism hubs, develop eco-lodges, train local youth, and champion digital and global marketing campaigns. In-flight services will also spotlight Ghanaian cuisine and farm-sourced products. Once fully operational, the initiative is expected to generate significant socio-economic benefits, aligning with national development goals and global tourism trends.
