Ghana waives visa fees for Diaspora Summit 2025 delegates
Ghana will waive visa fees for registered participants attending the Diaspora Summit 2025 in Accra on 19–20 December at the Accra International Conference Centre. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said delegates should apply at the nearest Ghana Embassy, High Commission or Consulate to obtain complimentary visas before travel, with online registration closing in December 2025.
The step is framed as a Pan‑African solidarity measure to ease attendance and reduce travel costs. In line with existing reciprocal visa‑waiver agreements, nationals of several African and Caribbean countries already travel visa‑free to Ghana, while holders of certain diplomatic and service passports also qualify for exemptions. The move is expected to lower administrative friction for delegates – a timely boost for business and events tourism in Accra.
