Ghana signs MoU to drive research‑led tourism growth
The Africa Tourism Research Network and Ghana Travels signed a memorandum of understanding in Accra on 14 November 2025 to strengthen research‑driven tourism development in Ghana. The agreement targets improved digital visibility and enhanced capacity for industry stakeholders, positioning the sector to compete more effectively in global markets.
Planned collaboration spans joint research and data collection, destination marketing and digital promotion, capacity‑building for operators and hospitality providers, youth and academic engagement, and policy advocacy. The partners say the data‑first approach aims to sharpen product development, inform investment and attract international visitors as Ghana’s tourism rebuilds momentum.
