Audley Travel achieves B Corp Status
Audley Travel has obtained its B Corp status after meeting rigorous social and environmental standards across its entire business.
Chief executive Nick Longman said on Monday (12 June) the certification represents Audley’s “long-term commitment to ensuring our entire business operates ethically.”
“Responsible travel has always been part of Audley’s DNA, therefore we haven’t had to alter our business or strategy to achieve B Corp Certification – instead our journey has led us here naturally.”
Audley’s support of students from underrepresented communities in both the UK and the US, as well as its work with the Charities Aid Foundation and its reduction of greenhouse gas emissions since 2019 were some of the initiatives that led the company to achieve the B Corp status.
The tailor-made tour operator joins fellow tour operators Adventure Tours UK and Inside Travel Group as well as south-London Agency Travel Matters, which all got the certification over the past month.
“We are delighted to join other UK B-Corp businesses, especially those in the travel sector, and be part of a small group that is collectively pulling forward towards progress in this essential area,” Longman concluded.
