African Bush Camps Heightening Guest Experiences with Helicopter Flights
As part of African Bush Camps’ commitment to delivering memorable safari moments in Botswana, scenic helicopter experiences are available to guests at Khwai Leadwood and Linyanti Bush Camp and Ebony during both the Shoulder and High Season.
Doors are removed for unrestricted views which offer great photographic opportunities and guests are provided with headsets for constant communications with very knowledgeable pilots making for a truly unique experience.
Visitors to Khwai Leadwood will take to the skies and cruise upstream to the east, where the channel broadens into a network of islands and waterways. From above the elephant highways become visible with the white Okavango sands shimmering in the clear water. From above the contrast of dry and wet is noticeable, and the mopane woodlands may open sightings of the elusive sable antelope, and the dryland species roaming the woodlands.
Those guests staying at Linyanti have unrestricted views into the Caprivi. The marshes of the Linyanti are home to a host of different species, but hippos, elephants and crocodiles are the true masters of the marsh. The wooded banks offer sanctuary to a great number of species while inland from the wetlands sprawls the vast mopane woodlands where all those that dwell there must make the daily journey to the waters of the Linyanti marsh. These daily migrations in the dry season can sometimes see hundreds of elephants line the shore. A helicopter flight allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds, from a unique and exhilarating perspective.
Guests spending three nights in both areas will be able to take to the skies twice and marvel at the diverse and contrasting landscapes of Khwai and Linyanti.
Helicopter Flight is only available from 1st April – 30th November and T&C’s apply.
In addition to the scenic helicopter experience, African Bush Camps can arrange inter-camp transfers by helicopter. Please speak to your dedicated consultant when planning an itinerary.
