Africa Showcase Latin America 2026 concluded its roadshow across São Paulo, Monterrey and Mexico City from 23 to 26 March, cementing Latin America's status as a core outbound market for African tourism. Organised by On Show Solutions in partnership with Sariri Terra, the event brought together tourism boards, destination management companies, lodges and experience providers from 18 African countries, facilitating dozens of pre-arranged B2B meetings per city stop. The three-city format combined VIP sessions, curated one-on-one meetings and broader trade events, with the first-time inclusion of Monterrey marking a strategic expansion beyond Mexico City to engage a wider pool of qualified buyers.

Demand drivers across all three markets pointed consistently to authentic experiences, conservation-led tourism and culturally immersive, multi-destination itineraries - with improving air connectivity, including through Paris into East Africa, supporting growth. Exhibitors noted strong momentum from Brazil and emerging interest from markets such as Ecuador, while Mexico City continued to demonstrate high-value engagement and appetite for long-haul travel. Buyer expectations across the region remain shaped by language accessibility, with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking guides identified as a key requirement, alongside tailored itineraries and established local partnerships. Sustainability featured prominently throughout the programme, with growing buyer interest in responsible travel and experiences that deliver measurable community and conservation benefit.
