Over the course of 2023, our family-owners have been working with Sandy Pollard as acting-MD to build a very strong leadership team that will take Matetsi Victoria Falls to new heights.
Matetsi Victoria Falls, a renowned luxury lodge located near the iconic Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, recently concluded an extensive soft refurbishment during the latter part of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.
Family-owned and independently run, our beautifully designed luxury safari lodge, sits on the banks of the Zambezi river, within its own 136,000-acre pristine wilderness, Matetsi Private Game Reserve.
After five years of operating, we are grateful to have had enough feet through our doors (particularly as almost two of the five have been during a pandemic) to warrant us giving our beautiful lodge some well-deserved TLC. We are committed to keeping up the excellence that we strive for in all that we do and the promise to deliver this by way of an exceptional guest experience to our valued guests.

The Jafuta Foundation is a non-profit organisation focused on helping humans and animals alike by creating and maintaining equilibrium between community, wildlife and conservation, education and culture. A catalyst for bringing together the private sector, local authorities, communities and protected area management agencies, the Foundation forms an integral point through which to channel funds or assistance to any agency or cause with 100% guaranteed transparency.
The Foundation is registered in Zimbabwe with the Jafuta Foundation Centre, located on the edge of the Zambezi National Park, forming the main administrative base from which most projects are run. The building also acts as a hub from which to interact with the public and to host workshops that benefit local communities and wildlife. Various other locations are dotted in and around Victoria Falls and the surrounding parks and forests, with the majority of the work carried out in the Hwange West area and the southern section of the Victoria Falls National Park.
Established in 2017, Mummys Angels Zimbabwe is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in Zimbabwe.
Mummy’s Angels Zimbabwe is a Victoria Falls-based Trust we distribute excess baby items donated by others, which we assemble into hampers full of everything needed for the first year of life and beyond and give to select mothers in need at Victoria Falls Hospital and others who have nothing at all.
The hospital informs us when they receive mothers in need, and we oversee all deliveries, ensuring the items reach their intended recipients. In situations where vulnerable babies cannot be breastfed due to maternal death or medical conditions like breast cancer, we commit to providing formula for the first year of life.
